About
AudioTools is a set of small, focused tools for everyday audio jobs: converting a file, cutting a clip, making something smaller, fixing the volume, cleaning up a recording. Each job has its own page, so you can get to the tool you need without learning an editor.
How it is different
- Local. Your files are processed in your browser. They are never uploaded, so there is no waiting for a transfer and no copy of your audio on anyone's server.
- Honest. Tools tell you what they did and what they could not do. If your browser cannot save a format, you are told before you start. Estimates are labelled as estimates.
- Careful with quality. Where the format allows it, edits copy the audio without re-encoding. When a tool does re-encode, it says so.
- Plain. No accounts, ads, watermarks or daily limits.
Keyboard
Press / or Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on a Mac) to search the tools from any page. The / shortcut only works when you are not typing in a field.
Built on open source
AudioTools relies on open-source codecs and libraries. See the licenses page for the full list, and privacy for exactly what the site stores on your device.
